Timeless and unmistakable LV monogram has been appearing on Louis Vuitton’s products for well over a century now. Why not celebrate?
Six artists – Karl Lagerfeld, Christian Louboutin, Frank Gehry, Cindy Sherman, Marc Newsom and Rei Kawakubo, have been asked to collaborate and redesign the iconic monogram according to their taste. This playful idea gave birth to a remarkable collection featuring handbags, trolleys and backpacks.
Christian Louboutin was inspired by his trademark shoes and enriched the products by red detailing and gold spikes. Karl Lagerfeld created a trendy set consisting of punching bag and a pair of boxing gloves. Rei Kawakubo, founder of Comme des Garçons, presented a custom handbag with holes, so it is easier to see the insides of the bag.
